These notebooks have a great retro textbook style with some great quotes but what makes them really unique is that you can now indelibly carve your thoughts in the first paper made from stone.
I’ve read a lot about this new “paper” lately and had my first doodle a month or so ago. It has a really smooth surface texture but has an almost latex type of stretch to it, like it has a coating. Using a fountain pen on it was a bit slippy as it’s resistant to water but you can even write in pencil on it if its been soaked, so perfect if you use your journal outdoors. I found it really difficult to tear too.
These Ogami Quotes Notebook are some of the first to have been made entirely with REPAP ® stone paper materials. I’m a bit sceptical if the manufacturing processes really make it as a more ecological alternative to paper – take a look at the promo and make up your own mind:
The notebooks are available in 3 different formats and with different page styles: lined, squared and blank.
Cover in uncoated paper of 300 gr., internal paper REPAP ® 120 Micron, handmade Point Singer binding, inside pocket and a mini “leaflet” which displays the REPAP ® paper characteristics.
