J’adore these vintage inspired minimalist notebooks from French company Calepino. With a robust recycled card cover, rounded corners and practical dimensions these pocket books are designed to be carried anywhere.
Although a fairly new company, they promote a strong printing heritage and use a local and reputable family business in the region of Nantes called Imprim’Vert. The cardboard is made in a French cardboard factory created in 1927. Each book is individually controlled, and each case is folded and composed by hand. Using 100% recycled paper with plain, ruled or graph paper pages; they are the last notebook to be made entirely on French soil. It’s the traditionally made brass pencil sharpeners in their own leather cases that are truly magnifique for me however!
